Pineapple rasam/Refreshing Pineapple Rasam Recipe for Summer

During the summer, we enjoy eating pineapple with chili and salt. Grilled pineapple is also a favorite during this season. Pineapple rasam is something I've been eager to try this summer. I saw this recipe on a TV show and decided to give it a try, and it came out very well. Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Pineapple: 250 grams
  • Tomato: 1 medium-sized
  • Peppercorns: 10-12
  • Red chili: 1
  • Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  • Garlic clove: 1
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Salt: to taste
  • Water: 1 1/2 glasses
  • Coriander leaves: for garnish
  • Curry leaves: for garnish

Procedure:
1. Prepare Ingredients: Take 200 grams of pineapple, 1 medium-sized tomato, 10-12 peppercorns, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 red chili, and 1 garlic clove.



2. Make Puree: Add all these ingredients into a bullet jar or mixie and blend them into a puree.


3. Add Water and Seasoning: Add 1 1/2 glasses of water to the puree and mix in 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt to taste.

4. Boil the Puree: Start boiling the puree. Add 1/4 cup of pineapple pieces to the mixture. Add chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves for extra flavor.

5. Serve: Once boiled, serve and enjoy pineapple rasam with rice..
