Ingredients :
Wheat flour-2 cup (400 gms)
Drumstick leaves chopped - 2 x handfull
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Ajwain ( Carom seeds)-1/2 tsp
Asafoetida- a pinch
Salt-1 tsp
Instructions :
1.Take a mixing bowl.Add 2 cups of wheat flour (200 gms).
2.Take drumstick leaves.Pull out the leaves from stem.Wash the leaves and chop it or wash the leaves and then pull out from stem..Either way is ok.
3.Add Handfull of leaves twice.If you add more leaves, paratha will become bitter so add accordingly.Also add 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder,1/2 tsp chilli powder or 2 chopped green chillies,1/2 tsp ajwain, a pinch of asafoetida and 1 tsp salt.
4.Mix all the ingredients once.Then add warm water to the flour as required and knead it into a soft dough.Add water gradually to form a dough.Once dough is ready apply oil all over the dough and rest it for 15-20 mins.
5.After 20 mins,take a small part from the dough and make ball shape.Take the rolling board,sprinkle some flour place the ball part, pat it,roll it and fold in square shape adding some flour in between.Again pat it and roll it.
6.Take a Dosa tawa or pan.Heat on medium flame.Add paratha and cook on both side.Apply oil/ghee and flip to other side when the bottom part gets cooked.When both side gets cooked transfer to plate and serve hot with garlic chutney.Garnish with butter.
