Veg Au Gratin

Veg Au Gratin is an Italian dish.It is made by baking the cooked vegetables topped with white sauce and cheese.Italian herbs are added to make it more flavourful.Usually served with Toast bread.It is delicious to eat as a whole.Here is the recipe of Veg Au Gratin.

Ingredients : 
Garlic-5-6 chopped
Butter - 5-6 spoons (Half blob)
Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
Pepper powder-1 tsp
Basil leaves dry/Oregano/Mixed Italian Herbs-1 tsp
Wheat flour-2 spoons
Milk-2 cups
Mozzarella Cheese - 4 tsp
Chopped Carrots & Beans- 1 cup
Sweet corn-1 cup
Cauliflower florets-1 cup
Potato-1 1/2 cup
Salt-1 to taste
Casserole- For Baking

Instructions: 
1.Take a bowl or pot.Heat it with 1-2 cups of water.once water starts boiling add the veggies carrot,beans,sweet corn, cauliflower and potato.Add 1 tsp of salt and stir it.
2.Cover the lid and cook for 8-10 mins. After 10 mins open the lid and drain the veggies over colander.
3.Lets prepare the white sauce.Take a pan.Heat it with 2-3 spoons (50 gms) of butter in low flame.
4.Add the chopped garlic and green chillies to the pan.Saute till the garlic changes its colour to light red.
5.Add 1 tsp chilli flakes,1 tsp Basil leaves dry/Mixed Italian herbs/1 tsp oregano,1 tsp pepper powder and Saute for a minute in low flame.
6.Add 2 spoons of wheat flour to the pan.Saute till the raw smell goes away in low flame.
7.Add 2 cups of milk to this with 2 tsp of butter.Boil For 5 minutes and keep stirring.The white sauce will be ready.
9.For Baking,preheat the oven at 400 degree Fahrenheit and Bake for 20 mins.Lets take the casserole and start placing the veggies.
10.After that pour the white sauce and mix together.Or you can put the veggies in white sauce,mix it and then place in casserole.( I have used 13×9 inch casserole)
11.Take 4-5 tsp grated mozzarella cheese in a bowl.Add 1/2 tsp pepper powder and 1/2 tsp chilli flakes.Add the grated cheese to the casserole.Bake for 15-20 mins or till all the cheese melts and light red colour is formed.
12.Serve hot with Toast Bread.
