Tutti Frutti cake

Tutti frutti cake is a soft,moist cake made of tutti frutti.These tutti frutti are the pieces of watermelon edges which is boiled and then soaked in sugar syrup.This cake reminds me of my childhood.During those days we use to buy Britannia fruit cake which was evenly distributed among our siblings,within 2-3 days that packet used to be finished.For the first time I made, it but became flop as the tutti frutti didn't mixed well and got settled down in the flour.Second time it came out very nice after mixing some flour with tutti frutti.Here is the recipe of Tutti frutti cake.

Ingredients :
Whole Wheat flour-1 cup
Baking powder-1 tsp
Baking soda-1/2 tsp
Egg-1
Sugar- 3/4th cup
Oil-1/4th cup
Milk-1/2 cup
Hot water-1/4th cup
Tuttifrutti-1/2 cup

Procedure :
First preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius or 350 degree Fahrenheit.As preheating requires time we can mix the ingredients and keep the flour ready.
1.Take 1/2 cup of tutti frutti in a bowl and add 1 tsp of whole wheat flour.Mix it throughly.This is done so that tutti fruiti gets mixed well with the flour or else the tutti fruiti gets settled down in the flour.
2.Take a bowl add 1 egg beat it till the bubble goes away and froth is formed.
3.Add 3/4th cup of sugar to it.Whisk it.Add 1/4 cup of oil to it.
4.Add 1/2 cup of warm milk to it.Whisk it and add 1/4th cup of water to it.
5.Now add all the dry ingredients to it by seiving 1 cup of whole wheat flour,1 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of baking soda.Mix it properly
6.Add tuttifruiti to the flour and give a good mix.
7.Now take the loaf pan or cake pan and apply butter to it.Pour the batter in the pan and tap twice.once the oven is preheated keep the pan and bake it for 30-40 mins or until the tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
8.Let the cake cool down completely and then cut into pieces.Serve it!!!
