Pallipalayam is a name of a place located near Erode.This is a recipe with large amounts of shallots fried with sliced coconuts mixed with less spices.Here is the recipe of Pallipalayam chicken

Ingredients :
Chicken breast piece-450 gms (1/2 lb)
Shallots-15 nos
Ginger garlic paste-1 spoon
Thin sliced Coconut-1/2 cup
Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Whole dry chilli (red)- 6-7nos
Curry leaves-Handfull
Cooking oil/coconut oil- 3-4spoons
Salt- to taste
Procedure:
1.Take a pan or kadai,heat it with 3-4 spoons of oil( coconut oil can be used,it gives a very good aroma).Add 1/2 spoon fennel seeds when starts cracking add 15 nos shallots.Saute it for a minute.
2.when the shallot colour changes to light reddish,add 1 spoon of ginger garlic paste,add handfull of curry leaves and 6-7 red chilli broken.Saute it till the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes away.
4.At this stage add the chicken breast pieces and keep on stirring with a spatula for 10-15 minutes in a high flame.Add required amount of salt to it.If it is becoming dry you can sprinkle some water and stir.Also you can cook by closing the pan with a lid by turning the flame to low.
5.After 10-15 mins the chicken will be ready.Serve hot as a side dish with poondu kulambu rice or rasam rice.This is also good as a starter.
