Chilli Guava Icecream/Peru Icecream

Chilli  powder + Guava ice cream = what a strange combination?😊Thats my initial thought when I saw this for first time

Few years back, After tiring day and a heavy meal, around 11pm in the night, went for a walk with friends and we ordered this Chilli Guava ice cream after looking at the menu. I was excited and curious to taste this. After tasting it, I realized its not a strange combination, infact guava taste with chilli powder, ice cream and coldness gives the unique combination and it was a treat of the day.

Since then,we made sure we had this everytime when we had a night walk along with friends.
Here is the recipe and hope you all like it.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cook Time : 45 mins
Total Time : 50 mins
Servings : 4

Ingredients :
Whole milk-1 litre
Sugar-1/4th cup
Guava-2 medium size (ripen)
Chilli powder-1 pinch

Procedure :
1.Take a flat pan, pour 1 litre milk and start boiling it.Keep stirring in intervals so the milk doesn't stick to the pan.Dont add water to the milk.

2.Boil the milk till it reduces to half.Remove the milk solids and can be used in making butter .Then add 1/4th cup of sugar and stir it.Boil it for a minute.

3.Transfer the reduced milk to the air tight container.Let it get cooled.

4.Now take 2 guavas, cut it into pieces and grind it into a mixie jar.The guavas should be ripened. The more ripened it is,the tastier it will be.
If you have pink guava that will also give you a wonderful taste and natural colour to the ice cream.

5.Once the milk gets cooled add the guava pulp into the bowl and give a good mix.

6.Now close the container tightly with a lid and let it set for 10 hours in the freezer.

7.After 10 hours take out the container and take one or two scoops in a bowl, sprinkle some chilli powder through a tea, coffee stainer.Serve this yummy yummy ice cream.
