Malai Kofta

Malai Kofta is a creamy cashew nut dish.This dish can be made on occasions as it full of fat and proteins.Malai Kofta is a combination of two recipe one is Kofta and other is gravy.Koftas can also be eaten like a starter.Here the recipe follows

Ingredients:
Paneer-150 gms
Potato-2 medium size
Onion-1 big size
Tomato-2 medium size
Ginger-1 inch
Garlic-3 nos
Cinnamon sticks-2 Nos of 1 inch stick
Cloves-2
Cardamom-3 nos
Red chillies-5
Garam masala-2 spoons
Corainder Powder-1 spoon
Chilli powder-1 tsp
Rice flour-2 spoons
Corn Flour-2 tsp
Milk-1/4th cup

Procedure:
1.First boil the 2 potatoes required for koftas.Let's fry the items for the gravyTake a pan,heat it with 3 spoons of oil.Add one cardamom,2 small size onions or 1 big size onion,1 inch ginger, 4 garlic.Saute it till the onion changes it colour to light reddish.
2.Then add 5 red chillies,8-10nos of cashew nut.Fry it and add 2 medium size tomatoes.Cover it with a lid.Let the tomatoes get cooked and become soft.Add 1 spoon of garam masala,1 spoon ofcorainder powder and required amount of salt to it.
3.Let it cool down and then grind it in a mixie.Take a pan,heat it with 3 spoons of oil and add 2 cinnamon sticks,2 cloves,2 cardamom.Then add the grounded paste in the pan in a low flame.Add 1/4th cup of water and cook it in medium flame for 5 mins by covering  it with a lid.
4.Now add 2 spoons of cream if u have.I have used milk instead of cream.I preferred milk.If using milk then add 1/4th cup of milk and cook it for another 5 mins by covering it with a lid.
5.The gravy is ready.For Koftas,take a vessel,add 150 gms of grated paneer in it.If the paneer is soft u can crumble it with your hands
4.Now add boiled potatoes,1 tsp chilli powder,1 tsp garam masala,2 spoons of rice flour,2 tsp of corn flour, a pinch of asafoetida and 1 tsp of salt to it.Usually small pieces of cashew nut and dry grapes are added.I have avoided it.
5.Now mix it and make a dough like a chapathi dough by adding very little water.Then make balls of it by applying oil on your palms and keep ready for frying.
6.Take a pan for deep frying of koftas.Add the koftas and fry it in a medium flame.
7.Drain the excess oil from Koftas by spreading in paper towels.While serving add the Koftas in the gravy.Serve hot with Naan,Butter Chapathi,Jeera rice.
