Dosai podi/Dheeda bhurko

If you make chutney and it becomes shorter in quantity then this dosai podi comes in use.Many people are lovers of podi,Atleast for one dosai they have it with podi.I am one of them to get that taste.It is awesome when mixed it with sesame oil.Here is one recipe of Dosai podi.

Total time: 15 mins

Ingredients:
Urad dal-1/2 cup
Chana dal-1/4th cup
Red chillies-5 medium size
Peppercorn-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-2 tsp
Curry leaves-Handfull

Procedure:
1.Take a pan,heat it,dry roast half cup urad sal in a low flame.Keep on stirring.Roast it till you get a nice aroma and turns out slightly red colour.Then transfer it to a plate.
2.Now again in the same pan fry roast chana dal in the same way like urad dal till it becomes slightly red in colour.Then transfer it to the plate 

3.Now dry roast 5 red chillies in the pan then add 1 tsp pepper corns and 2 tsp jeera in the pan.If any water content is there it will dry off by roasting it.This combination will give you moderate spiciness.If you want more spicy then add 1-2 chillies.
4.Take handfull of curry leaves and roast in a very low flame.5.Once all the ingredients gets cooled grind it in a mixie and store it in a air tight container.This podi will be good for months.While having with dosa or Idli take this podi and mix it with sesame oil and serve hot.
