Pudhina Kottamalli Thokku/Pudhina Corainder leaves Thokku

Pudhina kottamalli thogaiyal  is a very easy dish to make.It is like a pickle you can keep it in the refrigerator for few days.The fresh leaves of pudhina gives a good taste and nice aroma.Pudhina cools your body,aids digestion.It also flushes out all the toxins from the body.Corainder leaves help to cure mouth ulcer and many more.A quick recipe to make when we are bored of onion tomato chutney.

Ingredients :

Pudhina-1/2 bunch
Corainder leaves-1/2 bunch
Curry leaves-Few leaves
Red chillies-4-5 Nos
Tamarind-Small lemon size
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Urad Dal-1 tsp

Procedure : 
1.Take all the ingredients,Add  required amount of salt and pinch of asafoetida powder and put it in mixie.Grind it to a smooth paste by adding little water
2.Take a pan.Heat 6-7 spoons of sesame oil or any refined oil.Add 1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds,let it splutter then add urad dal and fry it till it turns light reddish in colour..Then add the paste,cook it till the oil comes out.As the paste has to be cooked in the oil so we are adding large amount of oil.You can also add 4 spoons of oil and add water to the paste and cook it till the oil comes out.But cooking the paste in the oil will give a good taste.
3.The paste will change its colour.once the oil starts coming out it is done.Serve hot with Idli,Dosa,Curd rice,Coconut rice
